Cancer Treatments

October 31st, 2008 by Dane Masters

If you or a loved one has recently been diagnosed with cancer, then the discussion has mostly been regarding recommended cancer treatments, side effects, and efficacy. There are a number of cancer treatment options available, including alternative or natural cancer treatments, invasive and non-invasive procedures, chemotherapy, radiation, or a combination. Not every cancer treatment works the same for every patient. It depends a great deal on what type of cancer has been diagnosed, how much it has progressed, and what type of cancer treatments are effective at that particular stage.

Those who have severe forms of cancer that have already spread to other areas of the body, or are likely not going to respond to treatment may actually decide that they do not want to undergo treatment. This is a personal choice, and usually is made because there is no much hope for survival and the sufferer does not want to undergo a potentially painful treatment when they could just enjoy their last few months or weeks with family or friends.

The most popularly used method of treating cancer is chemotherapy. This treatment is actually a concoction of many medicines put together, and the ‘cocktail’ varies depending on the type of cancer and how advanced it is. Chemotherapy is usually used in cancer cases because of its ability to reach multiple areas of the body in case the cancer has begun to spread.

Chemotherapy medication can be given to the patient orally, be injected into a muscle or be supplied intravenously. Depending on the cancer and the treatment course it may be given over a few days, weeks or even months. Of course there are many side effects associated with chemotherapy, although most of these can be managed with other medications to make the patient more comfortable over their course of treatment.

Other treatment options are available, such as radiation therapy and surgery, but usually chemotherapy is the first choice. There are many people out there offering natural remedies which are unproven, so anyone who wants to tries these remedies should discuss with their doctor first to make sure they aren’t just being taken for a ride.

When undergoing cancer treatment, the patient should advise their doctor and oncologist of any medications they are taking, whether prescribed or natural. The physician will want to make sure that anything that is being taken by the patient will not conflict with the cancer treatment or cause any undesirable side effects.

Hypnosis School: Learn The Art Of Deep Sleep

October 30th, 2008 by admin

When you hear the word hypnotist, you usually think of parlor tricks or the fodder for daytime talk shows, where people are put into a deep sleep and then told to do things such as take off their clothes, bark like a dog or whatever else the hypnotist asks the people on stage to do. However, there is much more to hypnotism than just party tricks. Hypnotists, for years, have been helping people lose weight, quit smoking, even become more assertive and less likely to procrastinate. Many people believe in the power of hypnosis and there will always be a demand. So, if you’re looking for a new career path and you enjoy helping people, you should consider attending a hypnosis school.

Master The Techniques Of Hypnosis

A hypnosis school will help you learn all there is to know about hypnosis and how it can help people to become the people they want to be. Hypnosis school will teach you techniques to put people in a relaxed state and then it will instruct the student on how to convey messages to the person’s subconscious so that, when they wake, they no longer have the bad habits they went to the hypnotist to rid themselves of in the first place.

It should be noted that students who attend hypnosis school will have a new power in their hands. This power should be handled with responsibility and ethically. After all, you are messing with peoples’ minds. This carries a lot of responsibility and should be handled with care. Most hypnosis schools will make you take an oath that you will use your hypnosis for good as there is room for abuse in the hands of a not so favorable person.

The people who attend hypnosis school, for the most part, attend because they want to help people with their problems and they believe that the human mind is strong enough to overcome even the biggest of obstacles.

If you’ve ever wanted to become a hypnotist, there’s no time to waste. Look up a hypnosis school near you and ask about admission. Once you graduate from hypnosis school, you will find that you yield a sort of power, a power to do good for people who come to you for help. Just think of all the happy people you’ll make once you help them quit smoking, lose weight or become more assertive. Whatever your patients need, you’ll be there to assist them, to hypnotize them and to talk with them on a subconscious level, where all those bad habits congregate and must be eradicated.

For instance, if you goal is to quit smoking, the audio capabilities of your computer will allow the hypnotist tell you that you no longer need to smoke because your body will reject it. This is all done online and you never needed to go to an office or pay for an expensive office visit.

Glowing Review of the Quality of Cigarettes – BS Tobacco Vid

October 30th, 2008 by admin

The Sixth Sense details cigarette manufacturing and quality control before the link between cancer and cigarettes was confirmed. There are some good shots of tobacco farms and workers plowing and harvesting. Then the film shows the inner workings of the cigarette industry, with nice footage of cigarette manufacture, mostly Lucky Strikes. The most interesting part of the film, however, is the footage of the American Tobacco Company’s research lab, which is the “sixth sense” of the title that lets them develop the finest product on the market. The narrator comments that the researchers are always developing new ways to improve cigarettes and it is even revealed that they were working with the University of Virginia’s medical school. Fantastically relevant given today's hostile climate towards tobacco companies, The Sixth Sense is a pertinent and important film.
