Can you really stop smoking with one session of hypnotherapy? and how much does it usually cost?

June 29th, 2009 by admin

I was looking at a program that says they guarantee in writing to get you to quit smoking after one hypnotherapy session, but of course it doesn't include a cost and I can't find any local reviews just the "testimonials"

Anyone know if these are legit or a scam?

Yes….you can!
It is an amazing and safe tool to stop smoking.
I speak from experience as I am a qualified Hypnotherapist and have conducted literally hundreds of "one off" sessions, which have been 100% sucessful.
I would guess that if the practitioner you mention, states in writing, a guarantee, then it is more likely they know their business?

It should only take 1 session, (unlike other Hypnotherapy) and the costs do vary. The price in the UK, varies from between £90-150. Just make sure you visit a qualified one okay !!
The session may last up to two hours, usually 1 and a half.
It also does not matter if you've smoked 10-80 cigarettes a day for a year or 40 years, Hypnotherapy will still work.
I hope this info clarifies it for you. Good luck :o )

    I don't believe it, but I haven't tried it.
I took a year slowly weaning myself off nicotine, and I think that is seriously the only way you will really quit. Gum and patches help, I'm sure, but it's best to quit slowly and without a crutch (like gums or patches.)

A good way to quit any addictive drug with 1 or 2 sessions is go to an Ibogaine therapy. They give you a good amount of Ibogaine, Which is a hallucinogenic drug which will allow you to see where you are heading with the addictive drug.

You probably can.. It would take some effort and willpower, though. My dad has been hypnotized twice to help him stop drinking. He has been an alcoholic for a good 30+ years and he was able to stop drinking for a month each time. The only reason it didn't continue to work for him was because he didn't listen to the tapes every night that the doctor made for him and he just didn't try hard enough. I believe in it. It just depends if the person is willing to work at it. You can't expect to leave the doctor's office after one session completely cured if you're not willing to put forth the effort. You also have to believe that it will work.. you can't be close minded like Billy (above).

It can cost a pretty penny depending who you go to. My dad went to Dr. Davisson in Dallas. He is a well known, fairly famous doctor so his first session was about 300, I believe.

I tried it, and went through 6 weeks of them, once a week, and never got anything but closer to poverty because I was still buying cigarettes and paying the hypnotist.

After 25 years of smoking, I finaly quit using an e cigarette. I quit instantly and it has been over 3 months.

I tried the gums, patches, hypnotist, none of that crap works, but the e cigarette did. Check them out at http://www.ecigarettesnational.com
