NLP Hypnosis: The Dark Side

November 18th, 2008 by Joel Chue

Hypnosis is a natural and common occurrence and it happens one faces it almost regularly. All of us go in and out of hypnotic trances throughout our day. These trances are generally well intend and are pretty harmless, but there are some people who drive others in to a hypnotic state just so that they can forcibly convince others to buy something that they would not buy under normal circumstances.

By now, you would be wondering who these people could be. Well, the groups which uses hypnotic trances the most to deliver their messages are the Media, the Advertising agencies, the Governments and those strongly opinioned individuals. The advertising agencies are the most aggressive of the lot who uses this method to push their messages across to the public to persuade them to buy their clients’ products. This is also the main reason why this group spends the most on advertising. There are certainly not there to be social welfare agencies, but rather to fill up their pockets when sales go up. The second group which uses hypnotic trances frequently are the political groups. A perfect example is the current Presidential election campaign going on in the US. Have you noticed and wondered why, how highly charged the advertisement s aired by the candidates?

All these campaigns are planned and crafted with details to achieve the maximum impact within the shortest possible time. Their aim is to get you to buy or at least influence you to buy their products in the end. Do you ever stop to think if you really needed that second car in the garage when the first one is working fine? Now you are beginning to see the darker side of hypnosis.

A s for news reporting, it is no longer about impartially and objectivity. Before, News were just reported as is which are directly related to the events. However today, due to the pressure of achieving good ratings, the media tend to be more of infotainment focused. They are designed to make us be captivated.

The heart of the matter is, Good news are just boring. The media dependent upon good ratings cannot get you to watch the news, which is boring. As such, News today are spiced up with gory details to be more hypnotic to the audiences to captivate their attention.

This is the flip side of hypnosis.

NLP Hypnosis: The Dark Purpose of Hypnosis

November 17th, 2008 by Joel Chue

In spite of what we know about hypnosis, we never realize that it is a totally natural and common thing that is happening to us. It occurs with such regularity that we are constantly in and out of hypnotic trances daily.
Most of these occurrences have no ill effect on us. Having said so, there are however, certain situations with which we ought to be aware off which are not so innocent. Perhaps you might not realize it, but there exist people who actually use hypnosis to bend the freewill of others for their own benefits. Example of such situation is when people are compelled to buy something, which they do not need normally.

Most of the advertising is planned very carefully; they are made so that you get influenced to buy an item. Or at least feel that you are in need of that item. This is the darker side to hypnosis. In buying a new car when we already have a well running car at home, then we are only trying to find happiness by material things, without improving any thing from within.

Regarding news, they are meant to report events and the latest happening. But this definition has changed, news is now no longer related to bringing the daily affairs of the nation to us, but it is more about driving us to watch the news.

The truth is that good news is boring. You cannot hear to a happy story through out the day. It is more interesting to hear a story that goes like a happy man leaving for his job and then getting abducted by terrorists and it would make it all the more interesting and hypnotic if we add that meantime his wife lost her sanity and committed infanticide.

This is the darker aspect of hypnosis.

Hypnosis - How Can I Hypnotize Others?

November 15th, 2008 by Mark Allan

Hypnosis is simply a state of mind of heightened suggestibility or the willingness to follow instructions. It can also be thought of as a state of focused concentration or trance.

The main principle of hypnosis is to put the subjects into a suggestible state of mind and an implant the desired suggestions. In some cases, you do not want your subjects to be aware that they are being hypnotized.

For hypnosis to work best, you want your subject, to be relaxed and free of tension. Ideally you want them in a relaxed state of mind and a comfortable atmosphere.

If someone is being hypnotized voluntarily, then you can ask for their cooperation. Try to make them away or of any tension in their body and to try to begin relaxing. Have them focus on the areas and concentrate on relaxing them.

If you are trying to hypnotize someone without their knowledge, you can still try and make them relaxed and reduce any tension. Insure that there are no obvious distractions, like loud noises or bright lights.

The real secret to hypnosis is to get the subject to focus inwardly and enter that state of suggestibility or trance. once the subject is in the proper state of suggestibility or trance, you can begin implanting suggestions.

There are many writings and courses that showed these secrets to hypnosis. The hypnosis-x.info web site shows some of the more controversial, “secret” methods, however you can find many other methods by searching the Web.

NLP Hypnosis: The Combination of NLP and Hypnosis

November 13th, 2008 by Joel Chue

Hypnosis and NLP are two different concepts used for mind control, but they are also interrelated in many ways. NLP or neuro- linguistic programming is a technique that is widely used and adopted in the interpersonal communication. The techniques of NLP have been effectively used as effective approach to modern psychotherapy.

Although NLP has been widely adopted within the medical field, its usages have also spread to the commercial sectors especially within the scope of human resources training. Many training experts nowadays use NLP to reinforce their training methodologies. This is to improve the quality of their training during their training sessions, workshops and seminars. By doing so, the trainers have a higher success rate in affecting positive behavioral changes with their participants.

Hypnosis takes on a different approach in respect to behavioral patterns changes. It is quite an unconventional method used but gaining in popularity in recent times. Hypnosis works by affecting the mind on a subconscious level. When an individual is put into a trance, His mind become more receptive to suggestions made by the hypnotist. Hypnosis have long been regarded as a mystic art practiced by mystic. It is only recently that the status of hypnosis has risen slowly to becoming a science adopting scientific and objective approaches. Research has also show that hypnosis is a daily and common occurrence. We actually drift in and out of trances without realizing it especially in front of the television.

Now the question that arises is, can we combine the two alike process NL and hypnosis? And if yes, what will be the significance? The answer is that the mixture of these two principles will lead to a better facilitation of knowledge and skill dissemination. In fact, there are many training sessions that involve the techniques of both the processes. By combing the two processes we can actually control the conscious and the sub-conscious state of mind. The end result of the combination is almost always positive.

Hypnosis unlike NLP, motivate a person to act out in a certain way and made to recall memories that are buried deep inside our mind. It acts more on the subconscious mind.

If one is planning to conduct a workshop based on using both these techniques, it is imperative that you enlist the aid of those who are professional in these areas. Hypnosis is a very sensitive and delicate subject matter and as such it is crucial that those who are targeting people’s subconscious mind knows what they are doing and dealing with. Although, this may call for more investment and research to find the suitable professional, it is necessary that you do so because of the ethical issues involved.

NLP Hypnosis: The Benefits

November 12th, 2008 by Joel Chue

The entertainment part of the hypnosis can be termed as the hypnosis show. It is more of an art form and is not used for healing. Hypnosis when used for healing is used to change the behavioral pattern of the individual, but in the case of a hypnosis show, the effect ceases to last after the show is over.

The hypnotist while performing in front of an large audience need to choose his subject matter wisely. The choices he makes regarding his volunteer have to be picked with care. Normally, the hypnotist has to pick out volunteers to put under a trance and once under a trance, he can plant any suggestions into the mind of that particular person.

Just like when hypnosis is used for therapy, for the hypnosis show, the hypnotist also requires the total cooperation of his volunteer for him to be able to put the volunteer under a trance. To help the hypnotist pick out suitable candidates for his show, he has to choose those who will listen to his command. By using a process call induction, he can tell from the audience who are more susceptible to his command. For example, he will ask the audiences to close their eyes and listen to his command. From this action, it is easy to see the willing participants from those who are not cooperative.

Members of the audiences who are not susceptible to the Hypnotist commands will be alert within the audiences. From this, the hypnotist will not select those who are resistant to his commands as volunteers.

When the hypnotist calls the willing volunteers onto the stage, this is when the actual show starts. One technique, which the hypnotist employs while calling upon the volunteers onto the stage, is to put a smaller number of chairs than participants on the stage. By doing so, this will create a competition among the volunteers.

The hypnotist then commands the volunteers to perform in various ways and they obey all his command as if they arte in a state of sleep. The hypnotist can make them believe that they are drunk. He can make them believe that they are aliens from another world and can thus only speak a strange language. The volunteers actually start speaking a strange language hearing this command. The volunteers come out pf the trance as soon as the performance is over, they do not stay in the same state of mind after the show and behave absolutely normally.

He may contemplate suicide thinking ill about bankruptcy, losing his house, thoughts of his marriage on the tenterhooks, etc. On the flip side, another man is the same position may view it as a great opportunity to find employment in another concern where his talents can be better utilized. Clearly, perception plays a big role here!

We also do not realize that our present circumstance had been shaped by our past. Because of our negative past experiences, we tend to assume that faced with the same circumstances, it will automatically lead to the same results. Our mind become stagnant in processing positive experiences.

Because our perceptions of the present are shaped by our pasts, Our perceptions will shape our actions also in the present. What we do is totally determined by our perceptions entirely. Thus with that in mind, we have to agreed that our present actions will also shape our future. Therefore, it is essential that we correct our misconceptions and perceptions about our reality if we want to move ahead and be successful in our lives.

The perception about our present reality is just one issue that we have to tackle. The other matter that needs to be taken into consideration is about our future as well. Most people have no idea what they want in life. The best which they can come up with is just a vague picture of what they wish. In order that we can strive for success, it is crucial that we have a clearly defined goal to aim for. Without a goal, it is hard to aim for anything.

The majority of people dwell on the negative as they can relate to those circumstances. Nevertheless, if we want to change at all our lives, we will need to change ourselves first in our mind. We might have had a bad experience in our past but it does not mean that it will be our future as well. At best, we should just take it as a lesson learnt and move on.
