The Factual Side Of Hypnosis

February 15th, 2010 by Alex Williams

Hypnosis has always been looked upon as a way of entertainment without actually looking at the more grave side of hypnosis which in fact is the most applicable in terms of medical hypnosis. One has to look at it as the way to eliminate negative aspects in ones life rather than making people do all sorts of foolish things out of hypnosis. Hypnosis is fake, is what most people out there believe, a trick to earn money, or some sort of gimmick and if a book or tapes have been bought then certainly it is assumed that you have fallen prey to a swindle.

However, when used correctly hypnosis really can help you overcome your most self destructive habits, such as overeating or smoking. In fact, learning the art of hypnosis can improve your self esteem, can make you emotionally stronger and can make you feel as though you’ve really got a handle on your life and how to be successful. How does it work? It’s all within you.

The process

A person must relax themselves completely for them to get into the subconscious and deep mind state which is required for undergoing hypnosis. If you visit a hypnotist the first thing that he would ask you to do is relax yourself completely. You will be asked to have your eyes closed feel the relaxing effect of every part of your body. You will be asked to feel part by part like first feeling the toes of your feet relax, then the insteps, the bottom, ankles, shins etc

If you still feel the same at any particular part of the body, you will be most probably told by the hypnotist to relax, till your whole body relaxes, right from the top to the bottom that is from the head to the toe. At this point when you are completely under the influence of hypnosis, the hypnotist will instruct you to concentrate only on the voice or some such sound that further takes you deep into the state of hypnosis. The audio techniques and some particular verbal methods are used to help the person to react to any particular task while you are in the subconscious state.

Now what happens is, you are under the influence of hypnosis and so you are going through a state of your conscious mind that is when you castoffs things that you basically are not willing to let go such as smoking for one.

The conscious mind actually says things like “But I want a cigarette.” When a person bypasses their conscious mind and reaches their subconscious state that is when the individual makes him vulnerable to information and suggestions and can be trained to break their habits and also be taught to succeed in it.

Hypnosis – Got to be a voluntary action

Hypnosis can work. It can be used for entertainment purposes as well as health purposes. It can even be used for self improvement purposes. However, you have to want to go under. You have to try and actually make effort to complete the instructions that the hypnotist gives you.

To have a successful results you have to give your hundred percent to it or else nothing works. A suspicious mind will never let it happen for you because you doubts in your mind simple do not respond to a hypnotist.

Do you really want to know free hypnosis information? Quit smoking hypnosis is one of the best treatment available for quit smoking. Why not try this.

Directing And Controlling The Imagination

October 8th, 2009 by Chris Arribbat

We explore some basic facts about the way in which the brain and body work. Specifically we See how words and images can activate other systems in the brain which relate to feelings, muscles, Senses, sense of balance etc. These are compared with “tests of hypnotisability” and “hypnotic Inductions” ENTERTAINMENT hypnotists love to make hypnosis look dark and mysterious and complicated. They love to pretend that they have special powers that no-one else possesses. I love to make things bright and clear and open, and I do not claim any special powers. In this first chapter I am going to ask you to try out various things and to think about them. These things are simple and every day, and will turn out to be not at all mysterious, and yet they are a foundation on which much of hypnosis is built.

If on the other hand you want to call what happens when a particular collection of subsystems is active “an hypnotic state” then I would not mind, though I would simply note that it has proved impossible to find ONE such collection, so that you have simply found one of many possible “hypnotic states”. In practice I avoid the use of the word “state” myself because of this vagueness, preferring to be more precise and instead to describe what is happening in a particular person at a particular time by as detailed a list as possible of what systems are active and inactive, and how they are interconnected.

Nevertheless the generalisation that they all tend to have a focused or limited awareness compared with normal, outward oriented functioning makes a useful step towards the matter of the next chapter. You have probably already noticed in the above experiences that they are most effective if the mind is focused. If there are no distracting thoughts. If there is nothing else distracting happening. In other words it is best if there is no other mental activity. If other mental and physical activity is switched down or off.ded as

The first exercise in this chapter is something that might be familiar to you. It is a relaxation technique that is sometimes called “progressive relaxation”. Something similar can be met in ante-natal clinics; stress-relief courses and so on. But it is also a common starting point for many hypnotists. The simple idea is that you pay attention to a particular muscle or muscle group and think “relax”, NOT in a spirit of “For heaven sake, RELAX! I tell you. RELAX!!” but rather of, “I am asking nothing of you now and so you can stop doing anything, you can go to sleep.” Alternatively you can use the word “sleep” rather than “relax”. It is not that YOU are going to sleep but that a group of muscles are going to sleep.

Beyond that you can continue to pay attention successively to all other major muscle groups, relaxing each in turn in the same way. As far as I know there is no magic about what order you do this in. Some people like to start with the feet, then calves, then thighs, then lower body, then back, then chest, then shoulders, then upper arms, then lower arms, then hands, then neck, then face and then scalp. Others will reverse it. But I have often jumped about with just the same effect. When working with others I will ask how things are progressing and if any particular group of muscles feels tense. That group will then get more attention, coming back to it repeatedly in between relaxing other, easier groups.

Then you arouse these pictures in your mind or the other’s mind, perhaps by gently repeating certain key words. But since we are interested in how much effect the pictures alone are having on the relaxation try to avoid words such as “relaxed”, “calm”, “sleep” and so on that might have a direct effect. Continue for about the same length of time that you used for the direct relaxation by means of simple words and directed attention. And again feel free if you are working with another to ask for progress reports so that you know what is going on. Finally at the end ask for some measure of how relaxed the person feels. Then see if any clear pattern emerges FOR A GIVEN INDIVIDUAL. You may discover that one of the two approaches tends to give the better result for one person and the other for another. For, as always, people vary, and we have no way of knowing without trying.

Can You learn Hypnosis From a Book

September 6th, 2009 by Brian Snitgaard

Many places on the web will tell you that you can learn hypnosis right here on the spot. I know this because I’m one of those people. But is it actually possible to learn something online that requires real life skills?

You can read about internet marketing and become great at selling stuff, while sitting at your computer.

But can you also read about plumbing on the internet, and become a reasonable plumber. Think about it… Even if you read everything ever printed about plumbing would you be considered a plumber?

We don’t live in a world of magic were everybody can pick the skills they want of a shelf and have them instantly integrated. You need practice if you want real life skills. Being a hypnotist means you need to practise these skills with real people. There is no easy way

A lot of people spent years reading about hypnosis. They have read all the books of great hypnotists, watched all the Derren Brown videos on YouTube, without ever doing a single hypnotic induction. I spent a whole year doing this, and that was AFTER i had done a live training.

When I had my first real client (who was just a friend of mine) I was more nervous than he was. The training I had left me with a minimum of practical skills, so all I did was sit and read aloud from a piece of paper. But I still somehow got it to work.

My advice is, don’t prolong this. You will have to put yourself in to situations that will make you a little uncomfortable no matter when you start. As my Hypnosis Mentor once said “Rather do two really crappy inductions today, than one perfect tomorrow”

As soon as you have done a bit of research and know the nuts and bolts of it. Start practising. It is not necessary to be good… Yet. Time for mastery will come later. Start somewhere comfortable or at least somewhere you can feel comfortable feeling uncomfortable and work you way forward.

The internet do have a lot to give in this phase, but also a lot of mediocre information. A lot of the sites are made mainly for separating people from their cash. But there are some really bright gems out there as well, that will give you the support needed for you to succeed easily.

How To Practice “The New Hypnosis”

August 9th, 2009 by Paul Redfield

The most recent form of hypnosis, called, “The New Hypnosis”, is helping average people attain their dreams so that they can become successful. Disguised Hypnosis is the most modern innovation in the realm of the social sciences that is being used by tons of people to become rich and successful.

Disguised Hypnosis focuses on how to apply hypnotic strategies instead of hypnotic language patterns. This hypnosis is demonstrated through our behavior patterns so that we can get what we want by altering our behavior, so much of the power of Disguised Hypnosis lies in how its practitioners are able to manage their relationships.

Everything in life either exists or does not exist through relationships. If you can control relationships”or at least manage them”then you can control literally every aspect of your life because everywhere you go and everything you do involves other people.

Let us take into account an example of an everyday normal person who wants to be rich and famous. It should go without saying that the odds are stacked against this person because of the opposition (if there wasn’t opposition to obtaining wealth then everyone would be rich). And the opposition will be even more severe if this person doesn’t come from a rich background.

To level the playing field, Disguise Hypnosis teaches its practitioners who wish to obtain power, fame, and wealth, The Strategic Method. According to The Strategic Method”, everything a person ever wants or desires can be achieved through the application of social strategies to appropriate relationships within the context that revolves around what you are trying to achieve.

For instance, as you encounter opposition from other people on your quest to fulfill your highest ambitions, it will be necessary for you to remove this opposition. The best way to remove the opposition is through the science of social strategy. If you can do this correctly, you will be able to get rid of the opposition so that you can get what you want.

This innovation has been a brilliant breakthrough in the social sciences. By looking into strategic principles to solve the problems in our relationships, we can have almost anything we want because there will be no one getting in our way. This means that we can make more money, go more places, and achieve more of our goals.

You Can Make Money Doing What You Like To Do

May 3rd, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

So, what do you like to do? Did I hear bowling? Whatever topic you enjoy, you can make money sharing your knowledge. No matter what the topic, even bowling, can make you money. Simply sharing information with people that do not have the amount of wisdom on a topic can help them and therefore can help you earn some money.

If you have any topic you are passionate about, then you have some tidbit of information to share. In our never-ending quest for learning or knowledge, we will exchange money for information. Find what you excel at and share that information with others.

What if you could change the world just sitting on your couch? Other people are teaching new ideas from the comfort of their homes as well. All over, from Auckland to Yuma, people are learning ways to attract all they need and want to attract money in their life and world.

People are recreating their lives assuring that circumstances outside do not affect them. The skills you possess are your paycheck, your money. Your ability to create your ideas into your reality is wealth. George Bernard Shaw once said, Life isnt about finding you. Life is about creating you.

The amount of time you spend teaching others is up to you. You can create whatever you would like. The more you teach, the more you change the world.

My book, The One Command, and my seminars based on the same, give people a point to start at. Connecting yourself to your theta brain waves you have the ability to access skills and abilities some of which you did not even know you had. You in turn can take these newfound skills and abilities and turn them into a stream of income. Remember, To be successful all you have to do is give up everything you know. Life is as exciting as you make it. See you there!

Unfreezing Your Frozen Beliefs To Create The World You Want

May 3rd, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

Choosing to make a living from your living room has to do with being comfortable about making money. Not just a little money but all the money you want. This is not a new concept. The idea has been here for a millennium or longer. What makes this new is that what you want also wants you, and you can make it so. Let us look at our belief system. Our belief system is tied to the economy of the entire world. Therefore, everything affects us from news to a simple talk with our friends.

Our relationship with money depends on our reaction to fear and what is accepted by the collective consciousness. If it is said that there is going to be a turn down and that we will lose our job or will be unable to pay for gas, then it becomes as true as it is for the others that heard it and believed.

We can try to tune out all this scary information, but when we do not turn it out, we lose confidence in what we think we are capable of doing. Group collective consciousness tells us to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, cinch in our belts, cut down on everything we want and need. This thinking can push us into a downward spiral. Belief in lack draws more lack and more difficulty. It is a downward spiral. We let the worldview drive us instead of us driving the worldview.

How do we change our normal beliefs? If we change what we believe can happen, we can demonstrate prosperity, have money, and great relationships with grace and ease. In this time of our world shifting and changing rapidly as it does, the doors to perceptions are open to allow us ample room to create a new way of operating our world. In this change, emotion is the best asset and greatest wealth.

The time to release our fears of losing our jobs, making less money, and having less work in it to do is now. We need to emphasize our gifts and talents, we need to identify and then embrace our abilities, the things we bring to this planet. As we come to the larger picture or worldview, it means we are in the process of changing within ourselves our very consciousness. We need to concentrate on how to create our money, security, and peace of mind. How we can find satisfaction in any circumstance. Our state of mind is our greatest asset. Theta Brain Waves opens our potential to take an idea and completely create it immediately. We become a world all our own.

Life is change and change is opportunity. When there is a destruction or disturbance in life or in the economy, something then happens in our collective thinking. We reconstruct who we are and what our nation is. As an individual, we can support ourselves to be able to support our nation by changing poverty and scarcity to abundance and joy. The One Command allows us to create what we want.

Horseback Riding And Creating The Life You Want

May 1st, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

When I was a young girl I lived on a ranch with sheep, cattle, pets and especially my best friends, our horses. As an eight-year-old little girl, I was warned of the dangers while I was also taught to care for these beautiful creatures.

I was told to especially watch the teeth and feet. I was taught to walk around horses carefully and to make sure when I put the saddle on to cinch it tightly. These were at the top of the must watch out for list of orders.

And then there was the list of what I needed to know of what not to do. “You can ride,” my dad would say, “but don’t ride too far, don’t ride too fast, don’t run the horse, don’t let him have his head, don’t let him eat grass when you’re riding him, don’t let him drink water when he is hot, and don’t fall off because you’ll hurt yourself.”

I was pretty depressed about riding by the time dad got through with all the rules, which he absolutely never missed every time I rode, which was every day. I started with a great deal of excitement and zeal and confidence in myself that I could ride, and ride well, but by the time I got onto the horse I was pretty terrified that I’d do it all wrong, let the horse get away from me, injure the horse in some way by bloating from drinking water, or over eating, or falling down a gopher hole because I was riding too fast, or hurt myself by falling off and down that long, long way to the ground. That was a pretty big burden for an eight year old.

It seemed that my special horse, Miss Tiny, listened in to our conversations because she would turn her head right when dad was giving me the what to be afraid of, and what not to do list, neigh a little, shake her head and then look away. I noticed that she was right on cue every time with the same action. Then when I mounted my horse and settled in the saddle she would turn her head look back at me and seem to send me a quiet message, “OK that’s over let’s go and have a great ride”.

Within no time, once my ride began, a feeling of peace and rightness with the world would come over me. The fear and anxiety of doing something horribly wrong was overcome with peace, fun, and confidence that I could do anything riding her. She truly was my best friend as a child.

As an adult, I compare the “fearful don’t do it wrong – have to get it right” part of me to operating in my ordinary every day beta mind. And I also compare the confident, relaxed, joyful one who has discovered the Miss Tiny experience in my theta brain wave to living in The One Command.

Unfreeze Your Frozen Beliefs To Create The Life You Want

May 1st, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

Jack Schwarz, the brilliant humanitarian, educator, philosopher, naturopath and internationally known authority on voluntary controls in human energy systems, said, Inherent in every problem is a solution but we become so associated with the problem that the solution can not arrive. Swartz was an internationally known authority on voluntary controls in the human energy system.

Having the honor of studying under Jack for over 6 years, I learned how to voluntarily enter the theta brainwave state. In the theta state, I was able to control pain, lower my blood pressure, and create a different emotional state. I was able to replace painful memories and replace them with joy, peace, and happiness. Through the theta state, I found a way to reach my dreams.

Jack Swartz believes that a vital energy field permeates throughout space and all thought. This energy field takes the form of potential and is un-manifested. This energy field from which physical matter is created is called the Source state. We are free to create in any given direction while in the Source State.

We have immortal ideas and the wisdom of ancient times held within our DNA. We adapt these to our physical world by perception. We choose the waves through open-ended potential and our consciousness. The result becomes our reality. Ideas that verify what we create we embrace while we repel the ideas that contradict our choice of reality.

The biggest secret to this way of living is to become unidentified with the opinion of yourself that has been superimposed on you by the outside world. If the outside world has drummed it into you that your financial success means you are a good person, then financial reversal means you are not.

If you take another position – a neutral position of no judgment about your circumstances – that you are amazing, viable, loveable, and perfect under any set of circumstances I guarantee that you’ll be more flexible – open to more opportunity and willing to go forward in new ways to create your good life – the one that is just right for you.

Create The Life You Want Using The One Command

April 30th, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

Jack Schwarz, the brilliant humanitarian, educator, philosopher, naturopath and internationally known authority on voluntary controls in human energy systems, said, “Inherent in every problem is a solution, but we become so associated with the problem that the solution can not arrive”.

Having the distinct honor of studying for over 6 years with Jack, I learned to voluntarily attain specific brainwave states, going into theta at will. From this state I was able to control pain, lower blood pressure, and create different emotional states. I could also release painful memories and replace them with joy and peace. Many years later, after traveling through a temporary Dark Night of the Soul, I found in theta a way to reach my dreams.

Jack Swartz believed that a vital energy field permeates all thought and space in the way of potential and essential un-manifested fields, which create physical matter, which is called the Source state. Our reality is undefined and unlimited in potential. What we can create is endless.

Immortal ideas and ancient wisdom within our DNA are held within the Theta Brain Waves. We adapt to the physical world by our own perception. We choose from the wave of open-ended potential our perception, and we freeze into an idea or belief that we define as reality. The experiences we attract are the ones that verify our created reality. Those that do not support our reality, we repel.

This type of living has a secret that you need to know. Disassociate yourself from the imposed opinions of yourself you received from the outside world. If the outside world tells you financial success means you are a good person then it also means the reverse is true.

If you take a position that is neutral with no judgment about your circumstances, you will find that you are more flexible and find more opportunities. You will be able to attract more situations and go forward with new ways that will help you achieve what you want your life to be.

The Law of Attraction Through The One Command

April 30th, 2009 by Asara Lovejoy

Have you ever felt that there is something major missing in your affirmations? Do your affirmations work for you? What if you had one step missing? A couple of friends I know spent a number of years complaining about their aggravation with the lack of success of their affirmations.

My friends would have lunch at Olive Garden. Instead of their lunches being the main thought, they were constantly complaining about The Law of Attraction and how it appeared to only work for a select few. They complained about even though they were students of The Laws of Attraction for over 30 years, perhaps they were not deserving of such achievement.

They thought maybe they werent deserving enough, but they probably just weren’t doing it right. They read more books, tried different approaches, made more vision boards, watched more movies…over and over again…and they even went back to the basics, reading all the original materials on the Law of Attraction and other meaningful Laws. And still, they were left with empty frustration.

The meetings being held at Olive Garden grew in frequency while their clarity aloud them to conclude that there was indeed a small piece of the Law of Attraction formula that they had gotten wrong. They were indeed still frustrated but managed to hang on to hope as well.

A close friend of theirs gave them the gift of all time. They were finally introduced to the concept of commands instead of affirmations. Commanding allows for the intensity and clarity that produces change – change within ourselves and ultimately, the world.

The television show Heroes shows the axiom about power corruption well. It shows us the way the world would be if there were a strong centralized conscious power. The One Command is that power.

To achieve the ultimate in terms of your wants, use the One Command. Using The One Command creates peace and harmony in the world. Look at your life and figure out what you want your world to consist of and then use The One Command to achieve your hearts true desire. You will be able to Command your world to be so. The only thing left is to sit back and watch your wants become your reality.
