The Concept Of Conversational Hypnosis Explained

July 10th, 2009 by Ferdinand Emy

Conversational hypnosis is the art of performing hypnosis during a regular conversation. If you want only purely ethical hypnotherapy, conversational hypnotherapy is not for you.

With the increase of popularity of conversational hypnotherapy, numerous people are attempting to learn this method. This is a subtle form of hypnotherapy, and borders the line of ethics. As it can be used to help control otherwise uncontrollable children or teens without the use of behavior controlling medications, parents are working to use this as a tool to prevent their children from having to take drugs to control their moods. If you are in the position where you need to convince people to do something you want them to do, learning conversational hypnosis may be the solution for you.

This, coupled with the fact that there are no negative long term after effects of using conversational hypnotherapy, makes it something highly desired. You can order lessons on conversational hypnotherapy online, or you can inquire on having a hard copy sent to your home. This is what conversational hypnosis is founded on. Because of this, it is extremely easy for anyone to get involved in this style of hypnotherapy. If you are interested in learning conversational hypnotherapy, you can listen to tracks on the subject, as well as study other forms of hypnotherapy to further improve your skills with this style of hypnosis.

However, there are no laws or legislation that ban the use of conversational hypnotherapy. Performing conversational hypnosis, unlike most styles of hypnotherapy performed by professionals, is done without the other person’s knowledge. Through a blend of subject matter, tone and manipulation of the conversation, you can influence the subconscious of those around you. Because conversational hypnotherapy can be used to cause people to do things that they normally would not do, this style of hypnotherapy is under scrutiny by practitioners of standard hypnotherapy. However, there are many instances where conversational hypnotherapy can be extremely useful, especially for professional practitioners.

This is particularly useful in more challenging cases, where there are a myriad of different issues that all need to be addressed quickly. By working within conversations as well as through standard sessions, you can further improve the client’s ability to overcome their problems. As the lessons can be downloaded directly onto the internet, it is easy to begin learning this method within minutes. By being able to work hypnotherapy outside of a standard session, you can reinforce what your client desires. This is just one example of the ethical use of conversational hypnotherapy.

What Hypnotists Must Know About Stage Hypnosis

June 30th, 2009 by Ferdinand Emy

The most challenging style of hypnosis to learn is the stage hypnosis. This is as result of the fact that this type of hypnosis demand a deep level of knowledge on how hypnotism functions, as well as possess a high level of skill in hypnotism. One who is the master of the hypnosis craft is a prosperous stage hypnotist. In order to be able to succeed at stage hypnosis, the hypnotist must be able to induce a greater level of hypnotic trance than in a clinic, and in a much shorter period of time. This is even more difficult than it seems.

In addition to being able to put someone into an hypnotic trance on stage, stage hypnosis is a blend of showman and sales person. Getting volunteers who are willing to go under hypnosis is what hypnotist must be able to do employing their charisma. In a little space of time, they must be capable of building a bond of trust and credibility between the volunteer and themselves,in order to insure the success of the stage hypnosis they are reaching to perform. Additionally, the hypnotist is required of the capableness to carry out his or her work in the presence of hundreds of people without being nervous. A hypnotist that is nervous cannot muster ample credibilty needed to put someone in a trance.

Stage hypnosis is a form of self hypnosis which is unlike popular belief. While the volunteer is the one who does most of the work, the hypnotist leads the volunteers into the hypnotic trance. As a result of this fact, an experienced stage hypnosis can put numerous people into a hypnotic trance at one time..

You are needed to be a professional hypnotist, if you are concerned in learning stage hyonosis. This is due to the fact that the professional practitioner has virtually all of the skills that a stage hypnotist requires in order to succeed at the craft. Additionally, you are needed to focus on the ethics of hypnotism, so you will be capable of affecting the minds of many people at one time. A stage hypnosis without a view on ethics will rapidly be blacklisted in the field. Stage hypnotists need all other stage hypnotists to remain legitimate, or the industry as a whole is sternly damaged.

Stage hypnosis can be very profitable if you take the time to be properly educated and learn that the attention of a good show is on the volunteers and not on yourself. The higher your profits depends on how your guests enjoy themselves. If you focus on the fun, everything else will often fall into place.

Reliever For Tenseness – Capturing Tension For health

May 31st, 2009 by Steve Schuster

Tenseness can fall out at any type of task no matter what situation you sustain. In fact the higher the position the more responsibility you usually have, and when you get disturbed out in the workplace it can start out to involve your line of work execution. So it’s important to learn to deal with that strain and easily and promptly as possible.

A Statistical View of Work-Related Stress: Everyone recognizes that a job can be irritating. What we don’t recognize is how stressful it really is. In this land 25% of employees are worried out daily. Not only that but there are studies that show 75% of employees conceive that there is more stress now a days than the past generations have had. With these numbers, you will know that the next time you start experiencing stressed out, you are unquestionably not alone. That knowledge can be your first step towards overtaking stress in the workplace. Luckily, work-related tension can be managed with in a variety of ways.

Maintain a nice snap of your family or may be a specific place on your desk. Whenever you feel strain about to kick in, steady yourself by gazing at the photo for a few moments. This will help you collect your mentalities and resume acting minus the strain. Keep an organized docket of everyday jobs. Keep the precedences at the summit of your list so they get done first. Acknowledging what needs to get done in what amount of time serves keep you from getting worried out and you don’t have to try and recall everything while doing other undertakings.

Relief for strain: Most of us know that workout is good for easing stress. Still, most of us postulate that we do not have adequate time in the day to exercising. We have become so conservative until we need to work all the time just to keep up with the jones, whoever they are. Yet if you have time for an evening walk will be good combating strain. Some citizenry often find that regularly seeing Christian Church services have been a type of relief of tension. Remember that depression and stress are close associated, and part of depression is a lower in spirits. This is very easy to see how going to church or other assemblies could fight off strain as well as depression.

Conquering strain: Earlier strain can be suppressed it first must be verified. This is why my view on using drugs generously isn’t the suffice to seizing tension. You may weak down some symptoms of tension but one must get to the very root of the topic and that is emotions, incubuses, life’s changes and doubtfulnesses. This is why increasing happiness is not the answer. That will only put a bandage on the problem and not really capture it.

Rather, you should effort to be as updated as manageable to matters that are functioning on around you and that are not work-related. For instance, be more involved in your kids’ association football games or meet up with your college cronies from time to time. This will help you keep a healthy equilibrium of the distinct prospects of your life. Strain will forever be a terror in the office. However, if you are mentally and emotionally equipped to handle with it, then you should have zero to worry about.

Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome-Escape the Torture

April 26th, 2009 by Patrick Glancy

Thousands of memories make up our lives and our own personal history. Memories can make us laugh, cry, or bring a smile to our face. Often we wish we could relive certain memories everyday and enjoy them or sometimes we wish we could go back and change things. To change a memory is impossible, but with today’s advancing science and other clinical practices, it is not so absolute.

Think back for a moment, find a memory you would like to relive. Think about how you feel, how the memory makes you feel. Perhaps you want to change something in the memory, think about how this could change your life. Now imagine for a moment that this memory is a traumatic memory. You would be reliving this memory over and over again everyday. The memory will torment you and cause stress and anxiety in all aspects of your life. This is what people with post traumatic stress syndrome deal with everyday. Everyday they relive a painful memory such as a rape, abuse, war memories, or something as simple as a car accident. The memory consumes them and everyone around them. Often they are not able to hold jobs, have families or healthy relationships, and in some extreme cases the person is not able to function at all.

Post traumatic stress syndrome can make people so depressed and dysfunctional, they begin to try self medication, which is usually in the form of drug or alcohol abuse. This method only creates more problems for the person. They are trying to forget the memories and ease their pain through their addictions. But sadly, it only creates problems at their work, home or with their families which will add to their stress and anxiety levels.

Self destructive behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse are common for people suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome. There is good new though. New treatments are being explored. One of those new treatments is hypnosis. Hypnosis or behavior modification, works with the mind in a unique way. While undergoing hypnosis, you are able to revisit the traumatic memory and learn to look at it in a different way. You learn to deal with your feelings toward the memory in a more positive way instead of letting the feelings consume you and those around you. In some cases you may even be able to forget the memory completely.

There are other treatments in development to help with post traumatic stress syndrome, such as Propranolol, a drug which is used in patients with hypertension, as well as other anesthesias. According to an article in Ottawacitizen.com, a Canadian newspaper, when a drug is injected at the precise moment a person is thinking about a bad memory, studies show that memory can be replaced. This treatment is still in early developments and research but could hold promise in the future. Unfortunately, people with post traumatic stress syndrome, those memories are like a jail for the mind. They need help now.

Hypnosis offers a safe, non invasive, and readily available treatment for those suffering from painful, traumatic memories. No one wants to feel trapped in their mind and have one memory control everything in their daily lives. It doesn’t matter if it is one day or ten, painful memories make everything difficult. There are new treatments on the horizon for people who suffer from these memories, but why wait when there is something available now to help you. Open the window of your mind, let out the bad memory and start letting in the good ones, you deserve it.

Weight Gain in the USA

April 26th, 2009 by Sara Mendez

Going hungry and not being able to provide for a family is bad enough, but now add the worry of making the family obese, then it is an even worse problem. Mississippi is the first state to have 30% obesity among its population in 2006 according to WebMd.com. Mississippi also has a high percentage of people on food stamps and other government assisted food programs. Over the years a trend has developed in obesity, low income families are at a higher risk to becoming obese.

Grocery shopping on than $18.00 a day for a family of four is already near impossible but if you want to eat right and be healthy, this task is impossible. This is the challenge families on food stamps are confronted with daily. A needy family of four can get up to $542.00 a month in food stamp assistance according to fns.usda.gov. Being a smart shopper is key when on this kind of budget. The protocol many poor adults follow is this, buy whatever is on sale, use coupons, buy in bulk and get as much generic as possible. What is not figured into this equation is healthy foods and fresh produce.

The typical American family of four spends roughly $600.00 per month on food and more if the foods are organic, low fat, soy based or trans fat free. For an impoverished family, they need to stay within their allotted amount, and this means buying less healthy items and buying in bulk. For example, Ramen noodles are about ten cents a package which means a child can have one a day for a month for around $3.00. However not all that glitters is gold, one package of Ramen is equal to two servings. Each serving has 194 calories in it and 1960 mg of sodium (82% of our daily value). Many food stamp shoppers also shy away from buying fresh product because if not eaten right away it can go bad which means wasted money. So instead they buy fruit snacks packed with sugar, pasta, rice, tacos and greasy chips. These are all things which can be bough for cheap and on a food stamp program, however it is not helping the family to be healthy.

In 2007 Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski and his wife tried living in $21.00 a week (the food stamp budget in Oregon for a family of two). The governor found he had to say no to organic foods, Swiss cheese, low sodium Progresso canned soups and start saying yes to half a banana, Cup O’Noodles and store brand peanut butter and jelly. A worker for the Department of Health and Human Services in Oregon told the Governor to specifically look for low cost staple items such as macaroni and cheese, beans and rice all of which are high in carbs, fat, calories and far from healthy.

The Federal Nutrition Assistance Program does its best to educate food stamp receivers on healthy living and nutrition but sadly they do not give more money to families to buy healthier items. One of the few ways families in poverty can get healthy meals is through the free lunch/breakfast programs in schools. For children who qualify, they will get a healthy lunch and/or breakfast due to the recent changes to school menus.

There is no denying poverty and obesity are linked. It is difficult to fix one problem without fixing the other. Each problem also snowballs into other problems such as healthcare costs, disability cases, and unemployment. Obesity is not just one problem requiring one simple solution, it is a whole mess of problems which need multiple solutions.

Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome-Free Your Mind

April 25th, 2009 by Sara Mendez

Memories are a part of everyone’s life, they help make us who we are today. Memories can be happy, sad, funny, or in some cases traumatic. Sometimes we wish we could hold on to the happy memories forever and forget all the sad or traumatic ones in an instant. Alas this is just wishful thinking, but what is this were possible, think about how different your life would be.

Imagine you are reliving a memory everyday, constantly. Think about how you would feel and maybe what you would do differently. Now imagine for a moment that memory being a traumatic one, which puts you in a state of extreme anxiety and stress. Imagine reliving this awful memory each day for the rest of your life, this is what people with post traumatic stress syndrome go through each and everyday. The memory consumes them, often they are not able to hold jobs, have healthy relationships, or simply cease to function all together. Anyone can suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome, a soldier from war, a rape victim, a battered child, or it could be from something as simple as a car accident.

According to a Canadian newspaper, Ottawacitizen.com, scientists have been using a drug called Propranolol, commonly used in patients with hypertension, to treat and delete memories in people with post traumatic stress syndrome. The drug is injected to a certain part of the brain while thinking of a specific traumatic memory. Once the drug is injected, studies have shown that particular memory has been deleted or replaced. The treatment is still in the early stages or research and development and there are no concrete studies to prove this drug actually works, only suggestions. People who suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome need help now, everyday is like torture for them, and they need something that will work. Hypnosis fits the bill for both.

Hypnosis offers a safe, non invasive, and readily available treatment for those suffering from painful, traumatic memories. No one wants to feel trapped in their mind and have one memory control everything in their daily lives. These painful memories make everything more difficult, even if they memory it self seems trivial. There are new treatments on the horizon for people who suffer from this condition, there is no need to wait when there is something available to help you now.

Childbirth – A Calm Experience

April 24th, 2009 by Sara Mendez

Pain is often associated with childbirth but it doesn’t have to be this way. From the time a woman finds out she is pregnant the only thing on her mind is the thought of child birth. Just thinking about the process makes most women nervous. They know there will be pain, but every woman feels pain differently making it hard to decide how painful childbirth will actually be. Pain can be managed through many different ways and the options are different for all women.

The OBGYN typically discusses the birthing plan in the first few visits. Some women want natural childbirth, while others want to have drugs or other new methods such as underwater births. The choices are endless and making this decision is on which should not be taken lightly and should be thought through before deciding on a final plan.

You know there are going to be painful things happening during childbirth, just the thought of squeezing a baby the size of a watermelon through an opening the size of a lemon is a scary to say the least. You know there will be pain and it will take hours. You know it will take weeks to recover from either natural childbirth or a c-section and typically you are not able to be on your feet for long periods which is unreasonable with a new baby. Some women become so nervous that they psych themselves out and the whole process becomes unpleasant and the baby is born into an unhappy environment.

There are many treatments out there for women who want a pain free childbirth. Some are natural while others require drugs. An epidural will help the mother feel minimal pain, but can sometimes leave the mother out of it or she may be allergic to the drugs and not know it until they are administered. Lamaze can help reduce pain during natural childbirth but still the conscious thought of pain can cause tension and anxiety which can create high blood pressure causing danger to both mom and baby.

Hypnoanesthesia is a new form of childbirth that many women are experimenting with. Hypnosis allows you to no use drugs and enjoy hearing your babies cry for the first time. You will not be allergic to hypnosis or have an adverse reaction to it as you may have with drugs. It helps you to relax, ease tensions and anxiety about childbirth. You will not have to worry about high blood pressure and hypnosis is thought to decrease labor time by three hours and help you not be so tired after labor. The mother will experience shorter recovery and a mother can choose when to feel labor and when not to, simply by hypnosis and the ability to control your mind.

Another appealing thing about hypnosis is the technique can be transferred to a nurse, husband or other partner and they will be able to help the mother maintain the state of relaxation through different cues and suggestions which will help her throughout her labor.

There are ways out there to clam yourself through childbirth but they do not always have to involve drugs and you do not always just have to deal with the pain. Child birth is a happy, exciting and beautiful experience for all new mothers. As a new mother it is your choice how you want to delivery your baby, but before you make a decision for your baby, you need to decide what will put both of you at ease, research all your options before making this important decision.

Drugs and Alcohol – Self-Esteem’s Downward Spiral

April 24th, 2009 by Sara Mendez

There are many forms of drug and alcohol abuse. Some people binge drink while others drink just to get though the day or to cure their hang over from the previous night. Same with drugs, some abuse street drugs while others take excessive amounts of prescription pills but yet feel it is ok to take the prescription pills since they were prescribed. Whatever your choice of addiction is, they have one thing in common, low self esteem.

According to Selfesteeminternational.org, recovering addicts and alcoholics indicate that low self esteem is the biggest problem in their lives. They feel alcohol is only a symptom to the alcoholic’s real disease, alcohol or drugs act as a mask. Low self esteem causes and contributes to anxiety, neurosis, defensiveness and ultimately

Drug and alcohol abuse can start early on, earlier than some parents and society would like to admit. In a study done by Selfesteeminternational.org, 18 year olds who already use drugs and alcohol heavily started using when they were as young as seven. They reported feeling alienated by their families, not good enough, anxious, unhappy and overly impulsive. 66% of high school seniors surveyed reported using drugs or alcohol heavily in order to fit in and fill a personal void.

Sometimes the pain of low self esteem is so difficult to deal with that people turn to destructive behaviors such as drugs and alcohol. They self medicate in hopes that the pain will go away. Addicts use their addictions to help them work through to pain of self hate, or so they think. By drinking or using drugs a vicious cycle of more self hatred starts and before you know it, your life is completely out of control. One drink turns into two, two turns in to three and before you know it your life is all about drinking. You family doesn’t want you around, you have spent all your money and lost your job. Your actions only lead to more self hate and disappointment in yourself.

People have low self esteem for many reasons. However, low self esteem is not caused from one isolated incident but by repetitive criticism over many years. The criticism can come from anyone, a parent, a sibling, teacher or society in general. It is difficult to estimate how many people are experiencing low self esteem, but it is safe to say many people suffer from at least one of the symptoms. Maybe you are happy to see someone fail, overly aggressive, do not recognize your own good qualities, or try to please others because you do not know how to say no.

Fortunately there is help out these for those suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. One of the most important factors in recovery is acceptance of the disease and being able to identify why you choose to be an addict in the first place. Often it is difficult to address years of low self esteem in a twelve week program. That is why follow up counseling and treatment is recommended. One new treatment that is being recommended is hypnosis. Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind to identify painful memories causing the low self esteem and help the patient work through the memory and develop new self confidence. Hypnosis is done in a safe environment and is chemical free which appeals to many recovering addicts.

Some people feel therapy and counseling is the best and only treatment needed to help recovering addicts. Unfortunately, if this were true all rehab facilities would offer a 100% cure rate. Most can not even offer a 70% cure rate. It is important to have a treatment plan that will help to identify why you started abusing drugs or alcohol in the first place, and this is difficult to do with a counselor. Often addicts have little trust in anyone let alone counselors and are more censored when talking until they get to know the counselor. Since hypnosis works with the subconscious mind, it allows the addict to think and speak openly about low self esteem issues.

Drug and alcohol abuse is a very serious problem, but what is more concerning is the underlying behavior of self hate. Until that issue is dealt with, the thought of alcohol and drug abuse is always there for the addict. There are many ways to help improve self esteem but why not do it in a safe environment and start dealing with the real problem today.

Confidence in Yourself

April 24th, 2009 by Sara Mendez

Just about every American has something they wish they could improve. Some wish to be taller, shorter, funnier, or richer to name a few. However there is a fine line between wanting to change something and low self esteem. People who suffer from low self esteem have a negative view of themselves, others, lack self confidence and perform poorly. It is difficult to measure the amount of people suffering from low self esteem as it usually is related to other emotional difficulties.

Self hate, lack of confidence or low self esteem are not learned overnight but something learned though many repetitive situations. Anyone, whether it is a parent, teacher or society can cause a person to have low self esteem. Some parents whether they do it intentionally or not, compare siblings, have unrealistic demands of their children, or simply do not understand the child and berate them for it which leaves the child feeling unloved and detached. Teachers sometimes make the same mistake by being overly critical of students work or compare them to other children, making the child feel like a failure and isolated. Society can play a large role as well by placing very unrealistic expectations on people. Many preteen and teen girls expressed they feel the pressure to be thin simply from an article they read in a magazine.

We are losing an alarming, one third of our youth to drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, jail, teen pregnancy, crimes and violence, drop outs, and suicide according to Selfesteeminternational.org. All of these problems have one thing in common, low self esteem. Some people of society have a hard time accepting negative self image is the cause for all of these problems. Often, as stated before, low self esteem is just a cover up to other emotional issues. However Selfesteeminternational.org reported that 80-90% of pregnant teens do not give up their children because they feel a baby will give them the unconditional love they never had. High school seniors report using drugs and alcohol as a way to fill a personal void and improve self esteem at the rate of 66%.

There are many programs out there for those who suffer from low self esteem. They range from counseling sessions, take medication, or to reading self help books. There are also new techniques being used to help build confidence, one of those is hypnosis. Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind to uncover what memories are causing painful low self esteem. Once the memory has been identified, the hypnotist and patient work though the memory and the patient’s reaction to it. Together they help rebuild self confidence and work through all feelings, good or bad until the patient is satisfied with their progress. Since it works with the subconscious mind, it is easier to open up and express feelings you might not know you were having.

Some still feel that medication or therapy is the best and only way to treat self esteem issues. However, the medications only work with the chemical reactions in the body, it will not create a positive image or with the memories which are causing the patient pain and agony. Therapy can go on for months before the real trigger and emotional reaction is uncovered and it also deals with the mind on a conscious level. When dealing with the mind on a conscious level, patients often become very censored for fear they are being judged by the counselor. It can take a long time before a patient begins to trust the counselor enough to open up. While under hypnosis they sub conscious mind takes over allowing for completely candid thoughts.

You have taken the first step in your treatment, whatever it may be. You have acknowledged that you have issues with low self esteem and want to do something about it. You no longer want to go on feeling the way you do. The choice is yours, will you choose a treatment that could take months and months, will you choose a short term chemical fix or will you choose to open you mind and discovery why you feel the way you do, the choice is simple.
